Standing Water All Year Long - need wellies

This puddle is here practically all year round - it is not passable on foot without wellington boots and you certainly couldn't go through it with a pushchair. My children sometime take the school bus and have to take boots within them as does our neighbour who walks to work in the centre of Long Compont.
Since the new development on Old Hill there seems to be a constant trickle of water from the common land just in front of the Weeping Willows, that travels down the bottom of the Kingstone Hollow driveway onto The Hollows. (Especially obvious when frosty as it gives itself away better.) This puddle obviously doubles in size whenever there is rainfall and becomes almost a ford when trying to drive your car through.

The road edge had collapsed and been repaired wider than the original (pic 2). The existing cobble edge to a drain cover therefore now projects into the carriageway (pic 1). Completely invisible at night. Wrecked both nearside tyres.
