Huge trees on footpath at back of garden
2nd April
Two years ago I wrote to Essex Highways requesting something be done about the huge trees at the back of our garden. We live in Overmead Drive, South Woodham Ferrers and the trees are along Scholars Walk. I was never given the courtesy of a reply informing me of any final decision by your department. Since then, the trees keep growing ever higher. Last year we had to replace our patio as the roots of the trees were lifting the patio and making it dangerous. This was probably a waste of our money as Im sure the roots will lift it again as they are extending further into our garden and ruining the lawn. Im sure by now the roots cant be that far away from our house.
We now have another problem with the trees. The pigeons roost in them and our patio and garden furniture gets covered in pigeon poo. As fast as we clean it off its back. This makes it impossible for us to sit in that part of the garden as we, ourselves would get covered. This is now a health and safety issue, especially for our young grandchildren. It is quite disgusting and a health hazard. While I know nothing can be done about pigeons roosting, something CAN be done about the trees! PLEASE can something be done about these trees as soon as possible. I have attached photos of the cover on our patio furniture to give you some idea of the mess.
I will add that these trees have never been maintained in the all the years we have lived here50 years! Regards

This is at the end of a busy road near to a school. The junction is very difficult to pull in and out of, and makes it very dangerous . This is a twice daily problem and there is a car park very close so totally unnecessary

Surface was repaired on Clements Green lane but this pothole was not repaired which is in tween the new surfacing and white lining. It is hazardous to motorcycles when turning right onto onto Longfield Road off Clements Green Lane as is right in the centre of the road. It has been in this condition for at least 11 months.
