Water pooling on new tarmac in city centre
5th June
I reported an issue previously about significant water pooling on the newly laid tarmac in the city centre. The matter was "closed" with no action taken whatsoever and no explanation as to why it is considered "closed". I cannot comprehend why - maybe the council does not want to hold the contractors to account for a very poor quality job for whatever reason. Instead I expect it will be put right in future at the taxpayer expense. Please explain why no action is being taken to resolve the matter.

Abandoned Bin
4th June
This bin has been here weeks and keeps getting emptied by seagulls which makes an absolute mess.
The street was cleared recently which was great, but as soon as the workers left, the seagulls made a mess again as the bin was still there.
The bin doesn't seem to belong to anybody. I've asked every building on the street as well as the Artist Residence hotel. It shouldn't be on the street in any case, so should count as fly tipping.
I can see I'm not the only one to report this so this is clearly causing a nuisance to a lot of people and over many weeks. We would all be very grateful if the bin could be removed.
