Request for double yellow lines at Killinghall Drive junction to prevent dangerous visibility obstruction onto A6177
25th April
I am writing to formally request the installation of double yellow lines at the junction of Killinghall Drive and Killinghall Road. Vehicles often park up to the very edge of the junction and occasionally obstruct it entirely, which severely restricts visibility when turning onto Killinghall Roadparticularly when turning left, as it is extremely difficult to see oncoming traffic from the right without creeping dangerously into the carriageway.
This issue is especially concerning given that Killinghall Road is the A6177, a classified A road that carries higher volumes of traffic at greater speeds. As such, the need for clear visibility at this junction is even more urgent to ensure the safety of drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
According to Rule 243 of the Highway Code, parking within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction is prohibited unless in an authorised space. The current situation disregards this rule, with vehicles routinely blocking sightlines. Additionally, there is a bus stop nearby which is often obstructed by parked cars, in breach of Rule 224 of the Highway Code, which emphasises keeping bus stops clear for safe passenger access.
Under the Traffic Regulation Act 1984, local authorities have a duty to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic. I believe the introduction of double yellow lines at this location is necessary to meet that obligation and to protect all road users.

Driveway Obstruction
10th April
Subject: Request for Road Markings to Prevent Driveway Obstruction Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally request the installation of appropriate road markings (such as an H-bar marking or double yellow lines) outside my property at 44 FenbyGardens, Bradford, BD48RX, in order to prevent ongoing obstruction of my driveway. For a considerable period of time, I have experienced repeated problems with vehicles parking directly in front of the driveway to my property. This often blocks my access and makes it impossible to enter or exit safely. Despite signage and polite requests to neighbors, the issue persists and is becoming increasingly frustrating and disruptive to my daily life. I have attached multiple photographs as evidence of the obstruction caused by parked vehicles, which I hope will demonstrate the extent and frequency of the problem. I kindly ask the council to consider implementing: A white H-bar marking across the dropped kerb to deter parking, or If appropriate, the installation of double yellow lines, should the problem be deemed severe enough. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if any further information, forms, or fees are required to process this request. Kind regards, Marek Kubasiak 44 Fenby Gardens, Bradford Tel: 07930451306 Email: kubasiak81@gmail.com
