The popular beach of perfect sand and the occasional sand dune extends for miles, from Aberdyfi all the way to Tywyn. Even though the sea looks inviting, swimmers must take care while venturing out, due to the strong currents around the estuary mouth. Aberdyfi's southern shore along the Dyfi Estuary is part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve. Facilities include parking, toilets, disabled access, shop, first aid (seasonal) and camp site. Dog restrictions in force.

Just 300 metres in length, but this beach lies between 1km of beautiful sand dunes and 2km of sand flats that are exposed at low tide. West Kirby beach has one of the best marine lakes in the area, which has been recently opened after a complete refurbishment. Windsurfing and kiting are popular activities on this beach, although are not allowed within 100m of the tide line, to allow swimmers to enjoy the water safely. Free parking is available on the promenade running alonside the marine lake, and there is also a pay-and-display car park close to the beach at Dee Lane. There are plenty of local shops within driving distance at West Kirby.

The Blue Flag beach at Fairbourne is a two mile stretch of beach, backed by steep pebble banks, which exposes a vast amount of golden sandy beaches from mid-tide level. At the northern end the beach joins the Mawddach Estuary, while at the southern end of the beach is squeezed between sheer cliffs and the sea. The beach is an attractive venture for people exercising their dogs, however, during the summer months there is a dog ban enforced on the central area.

Barmouth is southern Snowdonia's most popular seaside resort. In summer, its big sandy beach is a magnet for visitors, yet there's so much space along miles of unbroken sands that it never gets overcrowded. Barmouth is well located for watersports - there's easy access to the sea via a slipway on the beach, though a craft exclusion zone is in place to protect swimmers. As a fully fledged seaside resort Barmouth comes complete with all the expected amenities and attractions - shops, cafes and restaurants, good parking, amusements and entertainments. There's good disabled access to the beach too, and the resort is well served by public transport.

A popular seaside resort that's home to the Floral Pavilion Theatre and Conference Centre. Having undergone a recent redevelopment, New Brighton is now home to a casino, new restaurants, hotels, cinema and activity centres. The beach is 3/4 mile of flat sand, with excellent views across Liverpool Bay. A host of facilities is available, including first aid and toilets. Activities include swimming, jetskiing, powerboating, fishing and canoeing. Parking is available at Bay View Drive or along King's Drive. Dogs are allowed on the beach.
