Wavendon is the largest village in the area and has a population of approximately 6,000 people. It is part of the Milton Keynes Borough and Wavendon lies in the civil parish of Weston Underwood. Wavendon has plenty of amenities and offers excellent transport links into Milton Keynes, with direct buses operating regularly to the centre. There is a variety of older and modern housing in the community and two important educational establishments; Shenley Brook End School and Woburn Sands Primary School.

Walton is a small village on the edge of Wavendon and is also located close to the historic town of Stony Stratford. Located in the Civil Parish of Wavendon, Walton offers a number of thatched-style cottages, shops and pubs with a rural countryside charm amongst its approximately 2,000 locals.

Furzton is essentially a housing estate situated near many of the local shops and amenities of Wavendon. Furzton is mostly made up of modern residential housing and there is a range of styles available to residents.

In general, the MK9 postcode is a serene environment, close to the hustle and bustle of Milton Keynes, with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as walks in the country parks and fishing in nearby lakes. The area is highly popular among commuters due to the excellent transport links which offer fast and convenient access to the heart of the city.
