I have driven my car towards Northallerton from boosby stoop garage when suddenly on my left side I have spotted that pothole however it was ro late and I hit it with my tire.

Blocked drainage, 20th November
Whenever it rains, the drains at the side of the road are unable to cope with the excess water and flood the footpath. The water appears to mix with stagnant water and quickly smells like sewage. The drains are two doors down from the primary school leaving the children to walk through the blocked footpath and foul water. This was reported to Yorkshire Water in March who attended the next day and confirmed the gully was blocked between the gully and the sewer but this was not their responsibility but a matter for Highways?? There has been no further action since then. I consider this to be a risk to the health of the children, as well as the residents.

Dog fouling, 4th February
Sandhutton village has a massive problem with dog fouling on public footpaths. There is so much mess on certain tracks it's impossible to avoid stepping in it or my own dog running through it. We have a particularly problem with a Labrador (Lennox) that is owned by somone on the industrial estate that allows this dog to walk itself and it proceeds to go up the track each morning and fouls as well as running at all other dogs out on walks and ocassionally wandering onto the road opposite Cradock Row often nearly causing an accident. I can report this to the dog warden if that is who needs to deal with this aspect but because it isn't everyday and it's usually between 7.30am and 8am, it may prove difficult to be there at the right time. Most people in the village do not use poo bags and quite clearly don't care about cleaning up after their dog. It's not so discusting if the dog fouls in the hedgeback but most of the time it's on the path itself where other dog walkers go and kids ride their bikes. I would like to know how this can be tackled as it's drove me crazy since I moved here. I've never seen such a dirty village.

Road surface, 26th December
The recently re-surfaced rad through Carlton Minniott has deteriorated alarmingly in recent weeks. The chippings that covered an already bad surface have been abraded with the result that the old surface is now visible. Having complained about this before I find it disappointing that the repair work has not been of an appropriate standard and will have to be reinstated - at no small cost to we ratepayers. Please getitright next time!
