The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of YO41 4BZ:
Road falling into WDB ditch., 27th December
This stretch of road has been continually getting worse over the years. The road is falling away into the ditch maintained by the Water Drainage Board. The road is only a single car width and there are ditches on both sides. Heavy lorries have also aided the subsidence. On Christmas Day a young woman travelling with her child slid into the ditch. Highways need to address this issue immediately before there is a more serious outcome.

Various expanding potholes, 18th December
As well as the large potholes on Jackson Lane there are lots of rapidly expanding potholes on Back Lane which require fixing before they get any worse, it is quite a heavily used road, more so when the bridge at Elvington is closed due to flooding and other problems. It would also be a bonus if the road could be cleaned as there are a lot of loose stones from the pot holes which dent/damage cars.
