Several very large and deep potholes, 22nd December
These potholes have all been getting worse since July. They are now in danger of causing damage to our vehicles when we drive over them. They're especially bad after heavy rain as you can see in the photos. I've had the road checked and it is adopted and not private.

Deep potholes in the verge and stretching into the carriageway, 20th March
There is a run of very deep and growing potholes running along both sides of the road - between Buttercrambe and Buttercrambe Moor Wood. These potholes have been there since the before winter and have got progressively worse. They narrow the road to one lane in places and make it very difficult to pass oncoming vehicles, especially in wet conditions or poor light. There are wing mirror husks all over the side of the road. It will have exacerbated by the road closure at Kirkham - most Norton to York traffic is now going this way rather than following the diversion.

Entire road need re-surfacing, 22nd January
Motorcycling this road is absolutely lethal. The wheels get caught in the sizeable ruts that run the length of the road, and you're left with basically no control.

Entire length of road damaged, 4th October
Road is damaged pretty much entirely from Stamford Bridge to just outside Malton
It makes cycling on this route, something i do dangerous, uncomfortable and as the days get shorter very dangerous in poor visibility conditions as it's hard to avoid the many many many holes.
Please relay it, but don't use loose chippings, loose chippings kill cyclists.

Trailer parked, 31st August
There has been an advertising trailer parked on the bend for the last couple of weeks, this is right on the edge of the road just before the lay by... on the left between the Full Sutton turn and Garrowby hill.
As it is on the bend, almost on the road, at least 5 times I have seen articulated lorries hit this trailer with the back wheels of the trailer..
It is very dangerous and need moving... I have put this as "Abandoned vehicle" as I suppose it is, but if it has been put there just to advertise that is stupidity!

Road renewal., 8th June
Why has this road be relaid without taking out all the bumps? It is the worst peice of road renewal I have ever seen. What is the explanation - will the contractor return to relay the road FLAT?
An immediate response is required as this matter is to be taken up with councillors.

Poor condition of the A166 out of stamford bridge, 7th October
The A166 from Stamford bridge roughly upon till The Balk (I’m not sure of exact location) is in poor condign, with stone loss, erosion and potholes, i am amazed that the council hasn’t included this stretch of road in its capital programme as it certainly would benefit from investment.
