24 Potholes along the odd numbered side to Denby Lane Crescent, 8th March

Thu, 08 Mar 2018 06:40:58 +0000
53.641033 -1.665517

This road receives very little repairs and is constantly full of potholes. Kirklees council always send a generic letter about how it carries out annual surveying and does throw a bag or two of tarmac in once in a blue moon. Because of the poor repairs they last about 2 months then they are back and are worse. I think I share a similar frustration that we pay direct tax from motoring via road tax and fuel which runs into billions yet very little proportionally is put into road maintenance.

Lethal unmarked barbed wire alongside path, 15th March

Tue, 15 Mar 2016 17:51:00 +0000
53.661024 -1.67688

3 lines of barbed wire have been erected alongside the public footpath at low, medium and waist height, this poses a danger to all footpath users, especially children, dog walkers and horse riders as it is difficult to see and exceptionally sharp. Could it be replaced with standard (non barbed) wire if it serves a purpose. As it stands if you trip or slip on the muddy inclines and reach to steady yourself you will cut yourself to shreds, not to mention the damage it would do to a badger or fox.
