Roadside Drains Blocked and Ineffective, 1st March
The problem here with 6 roadside Drains becoming silted up has returned for the 4th year in a row. Rainfall is not diverted off the road by any of the drains on the north side and eventually it just spills across both carriageways at the bottom lay-by entrance, causing a hydro-planing hazard for traffic.
On previous times this has been reported it is left too long and weeds establish in the silt, further choking the drains.

Flood in road, 4th November
This is part of the coastal footpath. Everytime it rains this section gets flooded making in impassable for most (unless wearing wellies). Alot of people have taken to walking through the grounds of Tripolitania and then climbing over the wall. Various people/organisations have dug out the ditches but it still floods!

Inadequate fencing, 7th August
The fencing alongside Methleigh Bottom, Porthleven, has been broken for a very long time and is dangerous. Temporary barriers have been put up, but these are inadequate and wouldn't be sturdy enough to prevent somebody falling into the stream if they stumbled and fell onto them. In extreme circumstances this could endanger a life.

Grass tooooo long!, 13th June
The west playing field on Top Park has not been cut for weeks and in some places is 18 inches high. There is long ‘dart grass’ which now presents problems for dogs even when cut, plus there is also cow parsley which can give skin burns to children.
The East playing field on top park the edges are also too long as it was cut at least a week before the rest of the field.

Mud on road, 10th March
Lots of mud from farm traffic brought into road and lay-by left for rain to wash it down the hills creating dangerous driving conditions when wet. An offence under the Highways Act 1980 sections 137, 148, 149, and 161.

Footpath collapse on thoroughfare between houses, 25th January
I use this path regularly and gradually getting worse. It’s getting really bad to try and avoid. Only takes a child not paying a attention and for them to get seriously injured.
