FIXMYSTREET IN TA9 4QE
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of TA9 4QE:
Blocked drain causing flooding, 7th November
On the junction of Vole Road and Northwick Road (roughly) there is a blocked drain. Today a team came out to unblock it but were unsuccessful and the road is filling up with water. People cannot get past it except in a vehicle and tomorrow children will be unable to pass through it on their way to the school bus pick up.
The team who came out today were very helpful and it did appear that it may have solved the problem. Sadly that was not the case and the road has filled up with water again.

Loose stone chipping surface and tree clippings, 30th June
On the back lane opposite Averys car garage in Mark there is about 4 miles of very dangerous loose stone chipping road surface towards the riding stables paddock. There are also lots of loose tree clipping branches all over the road. Please can tree clippings be cleared and safe road surface be laid (tarmac) There are signs saying ‘skid risk’ and I already have anxiety about skidding on gravel on my bike due to witnessing an accident with a cyclist doing just that. Many thanks for your help ??

20 MPH needed outside a busy school, 19th October
I have 3 children at Mark C of E first school. It is DANGEROUS walking your children to school in the morning or evening. It is only a matter of time before a child is killed or badly injured. A upgrade to all road signs warning a school is near. Signs need to warn children in road as there are no pavements. Please consider a temporary or permanent 20 MPH zone outside school.
You will probably respond with," This is not our department" but why not take the initiative to copy in as many departments as possible to try and make a difference for the better ?

Loose man hole cover on the east bound carraigeway, 19th January
There is a loose man hole cover that rattles a lot when driven over. It is by the school about 3m to the west of its boundary on the east bound carriageway. I believe it is a Wessex Water sewerage cover as they lift it up every day as part of maintenance of the system.

Dangerous junction No visability, 26th June
At cross roads junction there is no visability when front of car is level with White give way sign. As you can see from picture you have a few meters view which is not enough to spot fast moving traffic. Many accident here over the years so the vegetation needs to be cut low and reduced drastically. Again the local authority are completely failing to do their job.

Leaning road sign causing dangerous blind spot, 30th December
There is road sign leaning to the side (after being damaged by another vehicle, according to the other report here). This is a significant safety issue. If you are turning right onto the B3139 at this junction, the damaged sign is now at just the right height to provide a blind spot that can obscure traffic approaching from the right. I nearly had an accident at this location, for this very reason.
