Flowing water on road, 4th November
I reported this last year and the year before. And as you can see nothing has been done by the Somerset Highway Authority. Wessex Water have tested the water pipes and they have found no leaks. The water has been flowing since work has been done on the main Hinkley Point Road opposite Farringdon Lane. It’s constantly flowing from the top of the lane and down towards Idson Lane. Outside Wick Cottage the ground is saturated and is being soaked up into the exterior wall. I’m fed up of hearing about ‘we’ve had a lot of rain’ which is obvious and very patronising for Somerset Highways to point this out! This is a drain problem, the water is not flowing into a drain but straight onto the road. With the drop in temperature this road will soon turn into a lane of ice. Please find the capability to sort it out.

Edge of carriageway broken away and verge subsided adjacent Grisley Farm, 29th September
This defect (20m long x 0.3m wide) was reported more than 6 months ago and no action taken. The road is reduced in width as a result of the damage. I have been forced off the road at this point by large tractors whilst cycling and is a serious hazard.. Note this is NOT the site adjacent the pond which has been temporarily filled. Have repeatedly tried to enter details on SCC Highways website without success.
