Blocked cattle grid, 10th April
The cattle grid near the Forest Office in Cockercombe, Over Stowey is full which will give livestock access to the road. Additionally the access for horses by the cattle grid is full with mud and not easily accessible.

Road continually flooded and surface breaking up, 8th March
Between Plainsfield and the Forestry Hut on Cockercombe, there has been constant fast flowing water for several months, several inches deep. Remedial work was done here some time ago, but the drainage in place is completely overwhelmed with the volume of water. It appears that there is more water than there ever has been before - I wonder if a stream has been diverted in this direction? Anyway, water is now bubbling up through the tarmac in various places where the road is clearly breaking up.

Roadside warning sign has been sawn off, 25th January
I run the local toad patrol and in the last 24hrs this sign has been saw off. Witness saw small white van doing this at 5pm on 24th Jan and shouted at them from a distance and they left with the sign. No number plates.

Water is still flowing down the road., 24th January
Hello,
The Council's sub contractors have been out with the gully sucker along Over Stowey road. The water is still flowing down the road.
The issue is not the drain itself itself, but the pipe between the entrance of The Retreat and the small layby is completely blocked on both sides of the road.
Water will continue to flow down the road until these pipes are actually unblocked, the gully sucker will do nothing.
As you are probably aware this constant flowing water is significantly damaging the road surface, and last week the water froze and resulted in a quite serious accident outside of The Retreat, with a quite substantial garden wall being destroyed.
This issue has remained unresolved for quite a few years. I have mentioned before and spoken to an highways inspector who came out, but apart from sending the gully sucker, the issue has not been addressed.

Hard packed mud on Lawyer's Hill, Spaxton., 30th October
There is hard packed mud on the road which has been there for several weeks. It has run off the adjoining field following the heavy storm several weeks ago. This is very dangerous, particularly for bicycles and motorbikes.

Grass Cutting, 16th October
The Grass at Barn Close Nether Stowey needs cutting. I was told by the council via email that it would be cut 2 weeks ago and it still not cut. WHY IS THIS GRASS PART OF A REGULAR CUTTING PROGRAM.

Fall caused by broken stile, 23rd September
As the crossbar is missing, there is nothing to hold on to. I lost my balance whilst attempting to bring my trailing leg over the stile and fell into the nettles. As there is a metal gate only 2 paces from the wooden one, is there any need to retain the wooden stile?

Grass needs cutting, 29th May
Once again I have to remind you that the Council Grass at Barn Close, Nether Stowey needs cutting. The grass is very long and looks a mess. I cant understand why when you cut the grass at the OAP bungalows at Five Lords (about a 100 yard's away) you don't cut this at the same time. Surely its cheaper to do it at the same time rather then sending out staff on 2 occasions.
