I have looked after this verge, and kept it tidy and unchanged for nearly 50 years. It already had large stones and a fast growing ground red berry bushes when we bought the house many years ago, which, I have recently cut right back, as it can grow into the road. Mine is the only verge in the area not being maintained by the council, and at 82, I have done what I can, but I now intend to leave it as is, and now, like the rest of the lane, you, I hope, can keep it under control instead, I am now much too old.

Cut through from Whirley Road by zebra crossing to Birtles Road, 14th May
Hedges and weeds really need cutting back, there are huge nettles lining the sides, as big as my 3 year old, and the bushes are growing right out into the path at face height so it’s hard to get past without stinging yourself! It’s a popular route to the primary school so lots of little children are trying to squeeze past them!

Millbank Drive sign has been damaged with name plate bent and extending outwards into pathway causing obstruction. This path is very well used including by small infants riding bikes and scooters to school.

On Tenby Road, close to junction with Wentworth Avenue, 11th May
Large pothole has appeared after a leak has been fixed. On Tenby Road, near the junction with Wentworth Avenue. Pothole has been there for 3 months. Appears to be getting bigger and deeper with passing traffic. Unavoidable due to parked cars on the other side of the road. Other smaller potholes nearby from the same leak.

Hazelmere Avenue just past 4 Hazlemere Avenue, 11th May
The road is deteriorating and the holes have gone through to the hardcore, one hole is getting deep quite fast exposing sharp edges and the other is a long gauge with different road levels.

On walkway at the end of Campbell close. Hedge to your left at lamppost 1, 10th May
Neighbour at no7 has not taken up scheme for green bin and is dumping grass clippings under his hedge. Laurel hedge on first triangle of walkway. This is now full so is moving to next laurel hedge which is public land near lamp post. This happened yesterday after neighbour cut his lawn

End of Grosvenor Rd where it meets Presbury Rd, 9th May
Pot holes and road wear have erroded away the line that shows drivers to give way to traffic on Presbury Rd. As a result cars rush off Grosvenor Road onto Presbury road without due caution. My car was hit as I travelled down Presbury Rd, causing £3500 of damage. Since then it has nearly happened once a week since moving here. It is a nightmare. A stop sign and adequant lines need to be installed. Its a busy side road with traffic from the car park using it all the time. It needs adequate signage. I think it should be upgraded to a STOP street.
