Ref No:5965899 - Reply to 'closed' ticket, 16th May
Dear Buckinghamshire Highways,
Thank you for the response, which whilst I do understand the principle of needing to wait for Thames Water to decontaminate the gullies, the practicalities are that given all the gullies are blocked, each and every subsequent rainfall event will once more cause the excess water going into the sewers and the cycle of sewage discharge will commence.
This has just re-occurred this afternoon with the 1st rainfall since the Thames Water tankers have left, and as such we will obviously continue to have this issue of sewage water puddles being caused every time it rains until the gullies are cleared.
Surely it makes sense to clear the gullies, regardless of the fact Thames Water need to 'decontaminate' the system as frankly the level of risk the general public right now seems a lot higher by the continual sewage spills with each and every rain shower in the meantime, than the risks of clearing 'un-decontaminated' gullies to suitably PPE protected gulley clearance teams?
This issue is affecting hundreds of local residents and we cannot simply wait for a long enough dry spell for the sequence of required events that you outlined in your email, (which may not happen in the short to medium term) whilst repeatedly putting the public health at risk in the meantime . As such I would ask that you consider clearing the gullies as soon as practicable, given the risk to public health with every single rain shower

Bamboo the chase marlow SL7 1uu, 16th May
I have previously sent a message about bamboo that is on council land invading my property. The answer I got was that the council does not own this land which is complete rubbish as they have been maintaining it for over 35 years. I have contacted the land registry who have confirmed that the land in question is owned by the council and have given me the title number. Please could someone from the council come and inspect the situation.

The grass verges along the Henley Road are neglected, unsightly and remain uncut. They are an eyesore on the West side of Marlow. Verges in other parts of Marlow are not neglected. Bamboo, 14th May
Bamboo situated on council land adjacent to my property 6 the chase has been reported previously several times. In fact a report was done No 40105943 advising the council to remove the bamboo as it could damage surrounding buildings. NOTHING has been done and now today I have discovered that the bamboo is lifting my patio. My son was trimming council “shrubs” really weeds by my house and identified large parts of bamboo that has gone under the house which are likely to damage the foundations of mine and surrounding houses. I have asked continually in the past for this to be dealt with. I am now a pensioner and live alone I am fearful of what will happen please advise urgently what can be done. All the council do is trim the weeds and bamboo once a year which is obviously encouraging the bamboo to grow. I have copies of emails from past years and also fix my street which I have sent plus numerous phone calls

Rotted gatepost for the pedestrian gate into Gossmore Park, 14th May
The the hinged gatepost of pedestrian gate at What3Words strikers.digital.self has rotted at the bottom and has now completely failed. Dependent on who may have passed through the gate, the gate and gatepost are alternately 'propped up' or lying down adjacent to the gateway. Arguably a safety issue if a child or dog were to escape through the open gateway onto Gossmore Lane where they would be unseen by traffic until actually on the road itself.
