Accident damaged flint retaining wall, 4th December
A vehicle hit this flint retaining wall over 18months ago. It has not been repaired. Being a structural retaining wall it is now deteriorating further, with large pieces of debris regularly falling into the road causing a hazard. Another large piece of wall is now breaking away next to the post box. This is a highway safety issue.

Road subsiding, 13th November
See previous report FixMyStreet ref: 5110455. The road appears to be subsiding rapidly now, and it starts to pull the vehicle into the dip. Presents itself looking like an earthquake fracture line. It's not marked and not very visible until you are at it.

Damaged road surface, 18th October
Road surface at this point on the A29 is very damaged and broken, there's a very deep wheel rut where it looks like the road is subsiding. Pretty dangerous if you get your wheels caught in it. Looks like the road sub-surface is damaged, probably due to water erosion, but looks like it's going to get a lot worse very quickly.

Spilt oil hazard., 24th February
There is a long trail of spilt oil at this junction. I photographed it today. Two weeks ago my friend and fellow cyclist slid and came off his bike on this oil which was then covered in water. He cracked his ribs, suffered multiple cuts and grazes and damaged an expensive carbon bike. The oil need’s removing without delay before another cyclist or motorcyclist is seriously hurt. I would guess the oil has been dropped from a farm vehicle or oilcloth delivery vehicle when turning the corner.

Manhole is still sinking after two attempts at fixing, 12th September
Manhole previously reported and attended too by repair team. Sited outside Little Orchard. Is still sinking and will/is a danger to road traffic. I believe this may constitute an emergency intervention as cracks growing by the day as is the noise of the lid bouncing as each vehicle runs over it.

Tree branches endangering power cables, 14th March
The willow trees on the side of the road have their branches now leaning towards our garden and are now completely leaning on the power cables which run through the posts in our garden. As the trees are on the road side they fall under Highways England responsibility. Can you please have these tree branches removed so that they are not going to intrude our garden and endanger the overhead cables?
