Abandoned Motorcycle, 27th June

Flooding, 10th March
One side of the road is completely flooded. This is on a bend so you cannot see it until you are almost on top of it. This happens every time there is heavy rain so there is likely a problem with a blocked drain.

Dangerous potholes and rutting, 29th May
The streatch of road running from Balcombe Railway Station car park southwards for approximately 100m is deeply rutted and scattered with potholes. Drivers swerve to avoid pot holes which are difficult to see as the road is shaded by trees. Potholes are deeper than 10cm and are approximately 50cm wide. The tarmac wearing surface has been worn away and this area needs immediate attention to avoid an accident.

The road surface just south of Balcombe station in the wooded area, across its whole width and over several 10s of meters in length is disintegrating badly and it is impossible to avoid driving into holes., 2nd March

Pothole 30cm x 20cm x 11cm on southbound carriageway near to 'derestricted' sign. When going northward its near the 30mph sign., 1st March
Nasty pothole difficult to see in low sun conditions. Cars all swerve into oncoming traffic to miss it. An accident waiting to happen. Its a deep 5" - 6" hole exactly where the nearside wheels go. Been here for about 2 weeks now,

3 dropped deep manhole covers in a row opposite gate, 9th September
Three dropped manhole covers in a row westbound opposite the gate. The passenger side tyre drops into the hole and bangs on the road on the way back out of the hole, setting the tyre pressure monitor off. Since March.
