Major flooding, 3rd April
Road is now a ford. Temporary fix totally inadequate, cannot wait for a permanent fix, urgent attention required. At the very minimum remove more of earth bank to allow more water to drain away. Consider temporarily raising road surface to allow water to channel around sides. Investigate closing the drain that is spewing out water and divert water closer to its source

Watery Lane Skirmett. The end by Skirmett Road. Flooding into main road, 28th March
Spring water flow in Watery Lane has over topped the sandbag barrier and is now flowing down Skirmett Road towards the middle of the village. The sandbag barrier was erected to divert the water into the ditch which eventually meets up with Hamble Brook.

Obstruction in roadway caused by grit and debris - RG96SR, 28th March
Flooding has caused a build up of grit and stones making road surface uneven and more dangerous to pass outside Cherry Tree Cottage and Plum Tree Cottage. The buildup is about 6" tall , 3 meters long and 2 meters wide. and is making the road impassible. Needs a road sweeper.

On a dry day water is flowing rapidly across the road just before Dolesden Lane. Looks like a burst water main, flowing from two places. Noted 21 March 2024.

Potholes have reappeared where previously mended. Always dark when going to/ from work hence no photos. When full of water they can’t be seen. Tyre’s are being ruined.

Large pothole on junction of Holloway Lane and Dolesden Lane, 11th March
Large pothole probably due to spring water running off the fields onto Holloway lane. This will get worse quickly and is a danger to cyclists.
