FIXMYSTREET IN RG9 3NF
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of RG9 3NF:
Unsafe road surface, 30th April
The entire length of Church Lane is riddled with significantly large potholes that would seriously impede the progress of any emergency service vehicles should they be required along this key access route to the River Thames. In addition, this road is regularly used by elderly pedestrian parishioners wishing to attend the local Church. As this is the only route available for those infirm individuals there is a highly significant risk of serious injury occurring.

Restricted Byway Sign Removed for 'FP Wargrave No.4' and needs replacing, 30th April
The restricted byway sign for 'FP Wargrave No.4' located just north of Braybrooke Road has been removed. See attached photos showing the sign previously there, which has now been removed along with the location of said restricted byway/footpath. Please could this kindly be replaced as I'm concerned the locals of the nearby road are attempting to stop a public right of way.

Large oak tree needs attention, 25th April
As part of our duty of care we have recently undertaken a full survey of the trees on the Shiplake Memorial Hall site. The survey has flagged up a large oak tree (T42 in the aerial photo) which needs attention. The oak tree grows through the pavement in Orchard Close, about 30 metres from the intersection with Memorial Avenue. The tree has been deemed High Risk. Pedestrians and motorists and users of the Memorial Hall (parked cars and pedestrians). It has deadwood in the crown which needs removing. You may recall that a substantial branch fell off in to the Memorial Hall car park last year thankfully not causing any injuries or damage.

Multiple pot holes, and very uneven road surface caused by compacted mud and rubble from road surface, 17th April
These multiple pot holes/ poor road surface gets worse whenever there is heavy rain. The problem is now so bad that each time I take my car down this lane, my car underside scrapes on the road. I cannot avoid this lane, as it is where I live. The photos don't really show the extent of the issue. The worst area is from a private car park for Shiplake college ,in front of the Rectory, and for a few yards beyond the Rectory driveway. This is a long standing issue which is getting worse. It is almost at the point where I cannot drive to my home. The road is causing damage to my car.

3 large+deep potholes by the kerb of Station Road, Lower Shiplake RG9 3JS. The largest is c40cm long and 9cm deep, 10th April
These potholes have been here for 6 months and are getting increasingly worse. They are on the left hand stretch of Station Road between the War Memorial and the first driveway/house on the left. Our family (and other locals who are aware of them) wont risk driving over them in an effort to avoid damage to the car or a puncture and wait for oncoming traffic to pass before circumnavigating them. So dangerous in all respects.

Traffic Light only letting 4 cars across at a time, 4th April
The traffic lights between Conways bridge on the A321 and Wargrave have only been letting 4 cars across each time this week which is causing traffic tailbacks on the Wargrave side of the bridge - sometimes past Temple Combe. The traffic lights on the Henley side of the bridge seem fine and there are no tailbacks there. Can the lights be reset so they are letting the same number of cars across both sides of the bridge?

Unavoidable large pothole, 25th March
Cars parked on the westbound side of the road mean that all traffic uses the eastbound side, thus this pothole is very difficult to avoid. It is especially dangerous for cyclists. A urgent repair is required. Please do a square-cut repair with sealed edges – a sweep & fill or dragon patch will remain hazardous for cyclists.
Note that there are other potholes close by which have been separately reported.
