Good deep pothole, 16th April

Tue, 16 Apr 2024 23:54:07 +0100
51.330951 -1.107543

Just as you negotiate the traffic calming pinch point slightly north of New road there is a deep pothole on the east side of the road. You have to negotiate it slowly when there are cars stopped at the pinch point giving way to you coming from the north side - probably annoys them but if you want to preserve your car you have to slow right down to avoid it.

Large tree fallen across public footpath, 16th April

Tue, 16 Apr 2024 11:21:29 +0100
51.357311 -1.092302

For most of the winter this public path has been flooded, and impassable. The mud is now walkable - but the large fallen tree is not! The tree is visible form the end of the private lane, beyond Edrington cottages. It has been there for a week or more.

Smashed safety fence, 2nd April

Tue, 02 Apr 2024 22:04:32 +0100
51.343297 -1.13208

This is on council land, the safety fence has been destroyed. My previous report must have been closed in error. Can you please fix the safety fence before someone doesn’t turn and smashes through it again? It’s there for a reason. Someone went straight on and smashed through the trees.

Issue for over 4 months and growing. As vegetation has not been cut back they are doubly unavoidable Wigan more than one car is present.

Road narrowed by trees, 17th November

Fri, 17 Nov 2023 12:30:07 +0000
51.357243 -1.09935

School lane bushes and trees have not been maintained for many years. It is now a one vehicle access in most parts. To avoid pothole you used to be able to drive round but can no longer do so without scratching your vehicle on all the overgrown trees/bushes. With wet weather they all hang down too. I repeat this has not been maintained for many years.

Four blocked rain-water gullies in Wakeford Close (RG26 3HR), 26th October

Thu, 26 Oct 2023 16:07:57 +0100
51.357726 -1.11862

The drainage in Wakeford Close is getting increasingly bad, due to four blocked rain water gullies, at the edge of the road, (all four are sprouting much vegetation). Over the past ten years the road has flooded periodically, and has been known to encroach up to the front door of the oldest property in the area. Please can they be emptied? pumped out? cleaned? sorted? (basically) be made good and functional once more, before we get hit with torrential rains, and possible domestic flooding? Thanking you in anticipation.
