Unmaintained ditch causing flooding, 15th August
Hello,
I am contacting you from Hampshire County Council's Countryside access team. The drainage ditches and soak aways installed around the the bridge at this location have not been maintained. This is cause flooding under the bridge which is also the permissive section Wayfarers promoted route.
Keeping this permissive section of the is very important as it allows users (walkers, cyclists and horse riders) to avoid crossing directly over the A34 at this point. Keeping this route in good condition is essential to ensure that people do not try to take the much shorter route across the A34.
I believe the landowner is also having issues with the fields beside the A34 becoming water logged.
Please could you contact me to discuss.

Between Winchester and the junction with the M4 there are depressing amounts of litter along both sides of the A34, on the verges, in the trees and in the bushes. This area urgently needs a little pick. At times the amount of litter looks like someone just emptied a whole bin in one place.

When leaving A34 Northbound onto slip and turning right, across A34 there is a large pothole. Using right hand lane from slip road to turn right, it is hard to avoid the enormous feeling pothole, which if hit at speed would certainly cause damage.
