More flytipping, 23rd February
Someone has dumped a number of bin bags of rubbish. We believe it was dumped sometime on Thursday, around lunchtime. This is in the same spot as rubbish was dumped last week which the council cleared very efficiently. This is a recurring problem and we would ask the council to look into cameras or other deterrence measures.

Huge pothole hampering access, 19th February
We have a pothole approx. 100cm x 120cm and 10cm deep. This is located on the highway hampering access to Mattingley Church for visitors and residents alike. This is a recurring pothole which reappears regularly. Most recently it reappeared within a few months of its last repair when it was addressed in April 23. Unfortunately, it has come back even bigger and deeper. The pothole is covered in standing water which also makes it a hazard for drivers and walkers who are unaware. Local residents have tried to fill it in with bags of gravel, however this is washed away quite quickly, and even with a couple of bags of gravel added recently, it's now approx. 10cm deep again and likely to cause damage to any vehicle not spotting it. A traffic cone from the Church has been positioned in the hole to try and alert drivers. Elderly visitors attend the Church, a play school use the Church Hall every week-day, walkers come from all around and residents drive in and out daily. Everyone has to navigate the pothole if they don't want to potentially damage their vehicle. It is also impacting parking for the Church and for walkers as cars have to traverse around it. Can Highways please address this as a priority and also please try and implement a more long-lasting repair. (I thought I had submitted this report last week but cannot see a record in the system - apologies if this is a duplicate.)

Flytip builders waste, bottles and cans, 15th February
2 large heavy bags have been tipped here today. This happened between 1100-1430. We passed the area prior and it was clear then. The bags appear to hold builders waste and are designed for heavy use. They are large and must have been carried in a large goods vehicle as they're too big for a private car. Additionally there are cans and bottles in another bag, which has been previously reported, a small distance away. There is also a growing number of bottles and cans that have been thrown from cars down the entire stretch. We do our best to keep the local area tidy but this is a recurring problem. Can the Council please look into cameras or other deterrent measures along this stretch of road to address this repeating problem.

3 lots of fly tipping on bottle lane, 5th February
There are 3 lots of fly tipping rubbish on Bottle Lane between Thackhams Farm and the junction with Bar Lane. (1) Since Saturday 4th Feb about 300m west of Thackhams a pile of what looks like insulating material - possibly needs to be dealt with as hazardous and may be a public health risk. (2) For about 2 weeks, on the bend 200m further west (300m south of Black Nest) about 6 plastic bin bags - rats have been seen here. (3) Since Saturday 4th Feb, about halfway between Goodchilds Farm and the junction with Bar Lane, another pile of plastic bin bags - again rats have been seen here. All of these dumps are potential risks given the materials and rats.

Tree trunk in the road, 28th January
In School Lane outside Chestnut Cottage. A tree that has fallen is now causing a danger to road users. It’s been exposed since the bushes have been cut back. With no street lighting, someone will hit it in the dark. Also, the foliage cut down this week needs clearing as lots of cut branches are lying by the road.
