More potholes in the village, been repaired in the past but not well enough, now dangerous, 15th June
I am a member of the Parish Council in Steventon. We are fed up with the state of the road through the village. A few days ago my wife's tyre was recked in a pothole in the village. I know that I would be wasting my time trying to claim as you would say that you didn't know about it. I am now informing you that there are potholes at various points throughout the village. All it needs is someone from your department to drive through and inspect/mark them for 'Proper' repair instead of the quick fixes that last a very short time.

The whole length of Waltham lane needs attention - potholes and patchwork quilt surface, 10th March
The whole length of Waltham Lane needs attention - potholes and patchwork quilt surface - been asking and complaining for years - why will Basingstoke and Deane not do a proper job rather than throw some tarmac in the holes, drive the lorry over it and then drive on, which I have watched. Total waste of council money. Sadly They don't seem to care

Huge pothole - keep appearin needs a proper fix !, 10th March
Large pothole - keeps appearing because it is never fixed properly. I have a 4x4 and my wheel would fit into it. Bizarrely they filled a pothole the other side of the tunnel, but couldn't manage to find the ones through the tunnel. This is an on-going problem throughout the village been asking for years for a long term fix - feel like we are wasting our breath !!!

Several potholes, uneven surface, 28th August
As a member of Steventon Parish Council, I reported the state of Waltham Lane several months ago. I received an email to say that the issue had been passed on to contractors. Two days ago I received an email to say that the work had been completed - what TOSH !! The road where the problem is hasn't been touched and is getting worse. It stretches for several hundred yards on the road through the trees. Please go out and inspect the road between the Steventon crossroads at Hatch Gate and the end of the road where it comes out of the trees near North Waltham - it is getting dangerous.

Potholes under railway bridge, 13th July
Road is being slowly covered over by ground collapsing from sides of road and the area under the railway bridge has broken up badly. The area has potholes in both wheel ruts and is single lane - drivers an cyclists have no option but to go through the potholes.
The road needs clearing badly before the winter arrives as this summers rail has accelerated the collapse of the sides of the road an is getting to be dangerous due to potholes filling with water.
