Blocked gullies and storm drains, 21st January
Continually blocked gullies due to the storm drain blocked. This means the ditch water runs onto Orchard Road causing hazardous conditions for pedestrians in particular children and parents attend the local playgroup nursery. This has been an ongoing issue for many years which requires the broken storm drain to be replaced. During last week’s water on the highway was flowing in to the foul drain IC which will lead to the pumping station to be overwhelmed!

Possible abandoned motor bike, 22nd December
A motor bike has been left on the road for many weeks. It was originally covered (so the registration couldn't be seen) but someone has now removed the cover revealing the number plate - RJ22CUC. It has been there for so long maybe the owner has suffered an accident or perhaps the bike has been stolen. At best it's very odd that it's been left for such a long time.

Hedgehog warning sign is no longer on its lamppost, 8th August
The sign to warn drivers of hedgehogs was originally fixed to lamppost no 1 in Wessex Gardens but is now laying in an open grassy area close to where the lamppost is. At this time of the year hogs are out and about and need all the help they can get to survive. A reminder, in the form of this sign may just help them do so.

I reported this problem over a year ago which I understand is on footpath 7, just over the style from the field where the shetland pinies are. The foitpath is so eroded that there is little room to pass under the bough of an overhanging tree. Without repair the footpath will soon disappear

Overflowing waste bin, 7th July
The waste bin in the Wessex Gardens play area is overflowing again. Possibly the wind or birds have caused some of the rubbish to be ejected. Maybe a bin with a lid would keep the contents better contained.
There's also a second waste bin about 50 yards away which is also full to capacity. Someone has provided a blue bag for the overflow which needs removing.

Drains and grids blocked, 20th June
Drains around West End Lane,Mire Lane and Plough Lane , area have lots of compacted mud leaves and general rubbish, some with the grids blocked, this causes flooding of the road and on to and into our property. We have done our best to alleviate this problem with various work and have in the past with my daughter removed the grids and dug the dirt out of the drain, removing barrow loads. I have reported this to the council but they do not want to know. If they were kept clean and the roads swept it would make so much difference, surely it is the councils responsibility to do this.
