Dangerous junction, 16th February

Fri, 16 Feb 2024 18:13:29 +0000
50.406653 -4.671258

The road needs to be amended. Pulling out and turning right from Tanhouse Road crosses a fast corner on a blind bend. Too many times cars narrowly miss other road users crossing here. Furthermore, the junction is a danger for pedestrians crossing as road users coming down the hill can not see into the junction. A revised traffic solution must be found to make this area more safe. Lots of elderly, prams and disabled people use this junction to cross over into town. A roundabout or traffic light solution would help slow traffic and make crossing safer for cars coming out of the crossroads and for pedestrians crossing the junction. Looking forward to your response, Joseph.

Long running road closure, 13th February

Tue, 13 Feb 2024 11:02:30 +0000
50.392426 -4.627284

The main route from Lerryn to Lostwithiel has been closed for weeks. The diversion leads down a narrow lane with a lot of blind bends, only room for one vehicle in most places. At one point there are deep ditches filled with water on both side of the road. The small passing places have now been churned up by heavy vehicles and are the consistency of ploughed fields, with deep ruts. Only a 4x4 vehicle can use them, a normal car would get stuck. There seems to be very little action to rectify the problem that is blocking the main route. I feel there will be an accident before long, as the diversion is so unsuitable. When will this work be completed?
