Outside 32 Peak Hill, Spalding, drop curbs ..., 9th April
Following on from report 471315. I appreciate that the drains have been cleared along this stretch of road from house numbers 30 - 35. But the problem of road surface water running onto my property still exists! The water from the road is still flowing over both of the drop curbs that allow access/exit of my property. The water is then running into my drive causing damage to this surface and damage to the various buildings and contents at this location. As mentioned previously, both the drop curbs onto the property need to be raised, (they are near on the same level as the road surface). I see that the drop curbs have been raised outside various other properties along this stretch of road lately, (outside 22, 23, 24 Peak hill) due to the same issue! Please revist this case as soon as possible, Thanks.

Manhole/drain cover on road/cycleway problem, 4th April
I was travelling to the aforementioned address in order to collect an item I had sourced for the restoration of my house. I was of course driving at a sensible speed not knowing the area and also trying to find the destination I needed. And due to the road being situated with dykes and fields either side I was of course being extra vigilant in my approach to my imminent destination. The road revealed itself to be in a very poor condition whereby the sides of it had dropped and the middle was almost at a apex where the surface was cracked and jutting upwards. I slowed down even more so as not to cause any potential damage to the underside of my vehicle, and I of course could not quickly adjust my route as this was the only road along this route and there were no laybys or shoulders to attempt to pull into to avoid this section of the road. This resulted in having to pass over the ridge in the road which then scrapped my car making an awful noise which indicated something very bad had occurred. Within a minute my oil light came on which would indicate a hole had been created in my sump. I had to continue down the road as I knew in my head that this would result in me needing to call vehicle recovery, as I needed to attempt to get to a place where a recovery vehicle could get to me, which would not have been at all possible down Cradge Bank. I managed do this this and got my vehicle to a place I was later informed by a kindly resident as being Spalding Common. There was a community hall very close by if this helps to identify the location as, as mentioned before, I do not know this area, and in being informed of it I was then able to call my breakdown service with an actual location for them to find us. By this time the oil had completely bled out from my car, and the engine would not start. The recovery team took 6 hours to eventually provide a recovery vehicle that could lift the car in order to take it back to Downham where I live as the car would not, (and still wi

The whole A16, 12th February
For Atleast a year there has been numerous pot holes across the whole stretch of road. Occasionally some will be filled leaving multiple others to deteriorate. There are some incredibly dangerous ones lately. Driving home after a nhs shift in the dark trying to avoid them is nearly impossible. It’s getting ridiculous. We are paying council tax to cover the cost of these issues and yet they are not being fixed. I’m just waiting for a tyre to blow after hitting one.
