Pothole, 5th April
The pothole is causing access issues to the front of my property due to the water pooling into it. Now causing issues with deliveries etc. Someone came to assess and sprayed the pavement with what needed doing and it’s been so long that the spray has washed off. The problem is getting bigger by the day.

Parked across a junction., 27th January
This individual has parked their car in the junction, leaving the rear overhanging the turning, while they've gone to do some shopping. Buses turn left out of that junction making it an even more selfish and dangerous thing to do.

Pothole & Drainage Issue, 10th October
A temporary solution was put in to help the pothole on Beacon Hill Lane but due to the amount of rain over summer this has now started to damage the temporary solution and the pothole has reappeared. When it rains it now causes more of an issue as there is no drainage and the water goes halfway across the road meaning that the front access to the house is not possible to use and driver’s have to drive through the water at speed.

Grass verges are impossible to see over making this road very dangerous to use., 2nd September
The verges on the road are hugely overgrown it is virtually impossible for a car and a person to walk past one another without being forced into chest high nettles and brambles. The bends in the road make it very difficult to see what's coming and some people drive to fast for the conditions.

Land has been encroached and fence erected on council land, 2nd September
The fence from the house next to it stops some 12 foot back but they have built out on to land which seems to not be theirs. So the area which has been taken or used without permission would measure 12ft deep and 36ft long, so a sizable space. Established trees and bushes have been removed to make way for this.
Do I contact the parish Council or is this something for you to be aware of?

Hedges, trees and grass verges, 27th July
Benns Lane has not had the hedges and grass verges cut right back properly in a number of years and now it’s extremely damaged. One end of Benns Lane has a blind corner and the road is now that narrow I’m to scared to use it. If you come round the corner a pedestrian, dog walker or horse have no where to go. It’s is an accident waiting to happen. If you meet another vehicle it can get very interesting.

Lack of visibility due to overgrown verges, 27th July
Hillgate street is never maintained, every year it’s the same, VERY overgrown verges on both side mean it is an accident waiting to happen. This morning I had a car screech to a halt whilst I was walking the dog, the verges are full of thick brambles so there is no refuge area for walkers, no way for cars to pass another car safely. This has been this way since I moved to the village seven years ago. The council own the first meter of the road which they happily tell us when it suits them, but aren’t maintaining it as it should be. This road needs two yearly cuts as a minimum, roads should have a 1m cut, and corners should have a 2m cut for visibility.
