Land has been encroached and fence erected on council land, 2nd September
The fence from the house next to it stops some 12 foot back but they have built out on to land which seems to not be theirs. So the area which has been taken or used without permission would measure 12ft deep and 36ft long, so a sizable space. Established trees and bushes have been removed to make way for this.
Do I contact the parish Council or is this something for you to be aware of?

Hedges, trees and grass verges, 27th July
Benns Lane has not had the hedges and grass verges cut right back properly in a number of years and now it’s extremely damaged. One end of Benns Lane has a blind corner and the road is now that narrow I’m to scared to use it. If you come round the corner a pedestrian, dog walker or horse have no where to go. It’s is an accident waiting to happen. If you meet another vehicle it can get very interesting.

Footway is dangerous, 22nd March
The asphalt is deteriorating creating a significant amount of puddling . At the end of the path (a17) end the width of the path is so narrow (600-700mm) due to deterioration and vegetation it is dangerous to walk with a pet or child as it is impossible to walk side by side . Even though it is a 40mph road it’s very common for cars to exceed this . This footpath is the gateway to our very prestigious village which also links to businesses and very popular dog walks along the public footpaths around Terrington wood with views of the historic Tudor mansion Luvells hall .

Pedestrian safety concern, 30th November
At school pickup time, cars and lorries often block the road causing traffic to drive along the pavements that pedestrians are using. We have had concerning video footage sent to the parish council regarding the growing number of public highway issues along this stretch of road. Can you kindly advise on some potential safety mitigants (ie street furniture, line painting) etc so that we can stop a parent or child getting hurt please? I have a video I can send detailing the issues if that helps? Many thanks.
