Kissing gate across the path (Snettisham FP 18), 25th February
Kissing gate across the path, where it leaves the (former) A.149 road. Getting through th ekissing gate is rather a tight squeeze. The definitive statement does not record a kissing gate, here; it merely refers to a different kind of structure. There is no need for there to be ANY structure here, interfereing with the exercise of the public right of way; the land crossed by the path no longer gets grazed by livestock.

Kissing gate across the path (Snettisham FP 18), 25th February
Kissing gate across the path, where it leaves Footpath No. 17, wheras the definitive statement specifies a FIELD GATE at this location, as opposed to a kissing gate. A Kissing gate poses a greater degree of physical restriction than does a field gate; the kissing gate is therefore an obstruction. There is no apparent need for there to be any physical limitation, upon the public right of way, at this location - the land crossed by FP 18 is no longer grazed by animals.
