Over grown trees and verges, 8th July
This tree outside our property has been growing vigorously since moving in nearly 7 years ago, on highway land attached to our front garden. We cut the grass to keep it neat and tidy and have trimmed lower branches to gain access to the grass. However, the top of the tree was reported last year as entangling telephone wires to neighbouring properties but no action was deemed necessary. The tree has grown further and thicker entangling the wires more. Whoever thought it was a good idea to plant something like this so near to the telegraph pole outside our property clearly did not understand how these trees grow.
It is no good just topping the tree as it would be unsightly and not stop the problem of growing upwards. Can this be looked at with a view to removal so that we can maintain a clear grass area easily. Removal will also assist with the egress and exit from the drive for both our property (Mill Lodge The Green) and next door's (Whistlestop The Green). The area of land, to the right of that driveway as you look from the road at the properties, is overgrown, obstructing a clear view of vehicles coming under the bridge into the village, often over the central line as they are exceeding the 30mph limit clearly marked before the bridge itself.
