Two vehicles remain abandoned over 2 months, 2nd May

Thu, 02 May 2024 16:42:11 +0100
52.555305 -0.305186

A red Nissan Juke (MT12 SVO) and blue Audi Q5 (CU13 KYK) remain abandoned in the shared parking area of the cul-de-sac marked on the map. They have been in these spots since the beginning of March and haven't been attended to or moved since, taking up half of the shared parking spaces. This makes it challenging for any of the residents who live here whenever multiple services/vistors come to the surrounding houses as there's then no place to park. CU13 KYK was already previously marked as abandoned by the council, but was subsequently moved for about a week to avoid being towed and then moved right back to its spot, where it has since remained. We'd kindly ask these cars are removed

Lane markings and traffic lights, 1st May

Wed, 01 May 2024 20:35:01 +0100
52.545352 -0.264259

I had the pleasure of negotiating this roundabout after recent works and what a cock up it is . Who designed the lane markings on this roundabout, think a lot of people would like explanation. Obviously not a driver who needs to go round it . If you stay in the lane to go round from Tesco to Stanground as marked you end up going all the way round or get sideswiped by another car in the middle lane which changes into the outer lane . And as for 2 extra sets of lights just why !!!

Road markings are chaotic., 1st May

Wed, 01 May 2024 18:52:53 +0100
52.54515 -0.264503

Who on earth signed these road works off? The introduction of an extra set of traffic lights on either side now means you have vehicles just stopping on the roundabout and blocking other lanes for those fortunate enough to be given a green light from any other junction. Taking it from a free flowing roundabout to absolute chaos. The road markings would’ve been done better by Stevie wonder. Coming from the nene parkway and attempting to head to the a1139 is utter madness. You have to be in the outside lane to join the two designated lanes but this isn’t made clear so motorists in the inside lane just cut across cutting anyone else off following the road markings. As you follow the road markings round if you’re in the outside lane you’d think you’d be taken down in to the a1139 but that designated lane for the a1139 for some unknow reason just directs you back around the round about whilst the inner lane becomes the outter lane. Because the hard white lines do not direct the inner lane further over. It’s baffling that millions of pounds are spent on projects like this and the outcome is so poor. Get this sorted!!!
