Rectory Farm, 14th December
To whom it may concern,
I live at Rectory Farm, Meer Booth Road, Langrick, Boston, PE22 7AD and I am writing to you to inform you not only the state of the road at the front of my property, but now the fact that there is a Health and Safety aspect to the state of the road and verge, following on from previous works that you have carried out.
Some time ago you turned up and poured loads of what can only be described as chalked stones / chippings to fill a hole that was at the front of my property.
To be honest it has been a complete nightmare from the moment that they were poured into the hole, as they we not bedded into the road at all but just poured and left. During the course of the summer, we have constantly been having to rake the grass before cutting it as there are stone chippings all over the grass area to the front of the property, where cars/lorries have driven over the stones/chippings, so that it does not get caught in the lawnmower and or then ping out whilst there is a vehicle passing. With the bad weather that we have had over the past couple of months it has got from bad to worse, with more and more vehicles driving over what is left of the stones in the road and basically now ending up on our front lawn. This stretches for most of the front of the property with an overall length now at 34 meters as per image 1. (See attached document) Images 2, 3 and 4 (See attached document) will show you the state that it has now made to the front of the property meaning that there is no way that we will be able to cut the grass even if we wanted to, due to the vast number of stones on our grass, making this a complete nightmare and a hazard. I have been out to take measurements today and the width of the pothole from grass to road, is currently reading 85cm - Image 5 (See attached document). Image 6 (See attached document) shows that it is currently at 12cm deep, although when it rains does rise a good couple of inches. As you can see from image 1(See attache

Large severe potholes some are opposite each other with only the crown of the road left. These are often hidden by rainwater which cannot escape because of raised verges. There are no warning signs either of this very regular and severe problem.
