Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 22nd March
Driving home towards Long Sutton, and due to reduced road width & disintegration of the road / verge, and oncoming vehicle, my car was forced to the far left of the road, into the extremely large, elongated pot holes. The disintegrating verge was full of pot holes, causing a loud bang, causing immediate deflation to tyre and damage to front near-side wheel.

Bullocks Short Gate, 21st March
Edges of road disintegrating reducing the road width and lots of large cavities created on the road edge. This are difficult to see when wet or covered with mud from tractors.

The Old Dairy, Harford Gate, PE12 0DE, 17th March
Heavy rainfall causes extreme motoring hazard. Traffic will drive on the wrong side of the road to avoid the water facing oncoming traffic just up from the junction with Huntsgate that is a blind bend. In wintry conditions the water can freeze causing black ice and higher risk of fatality. Harford Gate is a 60mph which is in itself extremely hazardous. These lanes should be no more than 30mph. The rainfall causes more than half of the road to be flooded and cannot drain into opposite ditch. Fast traffic does not slow causing water to splash into verge and could cause vehicles to aquaplane/skid into properties adjacent to the road

Please see attached photos of a headwall that has collapsed on a brick arch road culvert at Gedney. The verge is caving in and blocking the watercourse. We believe, due to the size that this will be a Highways structure. To maintain the flow we propose to thread a 600mm pipe in the end later today but this is only a temporary measure to prevent the verge falling into the watercourse any further and blocking the drain. If you don’t want us to do this then please let me know within the next couple of hours. By undertaking this work we are not in any way claiming responsibility for this structure, we are only undertaking this work as a temporary measure to maintain flow in the watercourse.
