Newly laid road surface disintegrating, 26th April
The newly resurfaced road covering is disintegrating within a week of being laid, with significant patches of the uncoated underlying substrate visible along the entire length, only to get worse as water penetrates. This partial coverage cannot form a water-resistance protective layer. Is this the quality of work expected? Should the contractor be called back to redo the job properly, or is the council responsible for this squandering of public funds?

Street light flashing, 15th April
This street light, which seems to stay on through the day as well, started last week to periodically enter a phase of flashing, switching off for ~1 second, then on for ~10 seconds and the repeating. At night this light shines in to my bedroom window so this is very disturbing. It would really be better if it turned off at 11:00pm.

The surface of the bus stop is a patch of mud., 9th April
This is the busiest bus stop in the village and the waiting area comprises a patch of mud, ie no hard standing. This is totally inadequate, a large area of hard standing is needed. Many elderly people with moblity issues use the stop along with parents with buggies. There is a bus shelter for the bus stop on the northern side of Milton Road. The bus stop on the south is not fit for purpose.

No benches, 8th April
You have recently put benches all over the village of Sutton Courtenay. They look very nice thank you, although the benches on the council estate will not get used and could even get vandalised. (I hope not) My question is though, why have you not put benches at Milton Road bus stops. My mother is 91 years old and has lived in the village all her life. She uses the buses to both Abingdon or Didcot almost every day. She should not have to stand and wait for a bus, when you could easily put benches at the bus stops. Please do something about this.

Sunken pathway causes flooding onto driveway, 31st March
I have spent a lot of money relaying my driveway, inserting a drain and sinking a soak away into my front garden. This has improved the flooding onto my driveway, but there is still an issue when heavy downpours of rain. The problem I believe is being caused by the sunken pathway in front of my property when rain collects then covers my front garden right up to the front of my bungalow. No 20.

Blocked drains and flood still present, 26th March
It is not completely clear origins of flooding there is clearly sewage overspill combined with blocked drains on roadside – it appears that heavy rain has probably overflooded and caused flooding of the sewage system – we have contacted Thames Water first they came yesterday but haven't done anything of note. I have recontacted them this morning to complain again and ask them to inspect better – as the road drains are also blocked I suspect they are going to say it is not their problem but yours. The flood/sewage overspill is at a public bus stop – bus 33 route the stop is 'The Plough' – the smell is bad and clearly this is a serious public health risk even more so as children are getting bus in mornings – cars are splashing the sewage laden water etc
