Excess leaves on single track road, 10th November
Hello - excess leaves and mud on Castle Lane. Understand it’s the season for leaf fall however this is a single track road with no footpath which is a busy walking route to Castle Hill School. The road becomes a rat run at school run times with daft people going too fast and skidding all over the shop on the leaves. It’s only a matter of time before somebody doesn’t jump into the side of the road quick enough (which is a fall risk for pedestrians due to the hill and slippery leaves / mud). Would very much appreciate someone spending an hour or two clearing before it turns into a much bigger job or an accident happens. Thanks very much.

Builder dumping waste in the canal, 4th June
Walking along the towpath on 3rd of June 2021 I was horrified by building rubble and plastic bags full of cement being thrown down the opposite banking some falling into the canal. This has been going on for a considerable time judging by the amount of waste. This is spoiling the beauty of the surroundings and also putting canal barge owners / wildlife at risk. There is also a pollution problem in the canal water. The garden involved is opposite Oxford Street in Todmorden. I come from Morecambe and this spoilt my day knowing that someone is able to create such a dangerous mess with impunity in an area of such outstanding beauty.
