40mph sign down, 22nd September

Thu, 22 Sep 2022 12:46:12 +0100
52.719883 1.119446

The 40mph sign has been down for months. They have now taken the sign away but there is a large rusty pole about 3 inches tall which is a huge injury risk to walkers and dogs.. I have reported 3 times to council but no response. The Norwich road sign has been missing for the whole time we have lived here. It makes our house hard to find.

Overgrown hedges damaging cars and blocking junction, 7th September

Tue, 07 Sep 2021 16:42:19 +0100
52.735179 1.140416

This is the 3rd time I have had to report Ketts Lane both via this site and directly with the council. The hedges and verge have grown into the highway and is damaging vehicles with brambles and branches. The verge has now grown up at the junction with Reepham Road and has made visibility poor and dangerous. I will be claiming for damage to my vehicles if this is not sorted out.

Overgrown verges blocking clear road access and sight, 27th July

Tue, 27 Jul 2021 20:14:37 +0100
52.735218 1.141103

The verges down Ketts Lane have grown dangerously high and out into the carriage way. Verge scrub is brushing against vehicles whilst driving down the road and has grown so high you can not safely see oncoming traffic on the bends. There are no passing places and the overgrown verges mean it is unsafe to reverse and pass

Traffic speed, 17th February

Wed, 17 Feb 2021 18:53:49 +0000
52.71724 1.11349

This road is called Weston Hall Road and runs from Lenwade bridge to Hockering. The traffic is encouraged to drive much too fast with 50 mph signs all up it. But it is the route by foot from Morton Lane to the Bus and shops in Lenwade...There is no footpath or space on that road to walk on and the traffic is so wide (eg, two MPH trucks) that a pedestrian is flattened onto a bank to avoid being squashed. And it has the entrance to the Dinosaur Park on it to which people have been seen with prams walking from the bus stop to the Park ....It is extremely dangerous to cycle down to the shops now also, and as the bus does not come to the village of Weston Longville we have to walk down. There are houses all down that road on the roadside as well as blind entrances from side roads. The road twists and turns with no view of oncoming traffic. It would be greatly improved by 30 mph signs on the road from Lenwade to at least Willows Farm aside from making it safer to walk/cycle etc it would reduce fuel consumption and pollution from exhausts. I hope you will give this consideration and make haste to alter these speed signs. With thanks. C. Hanington.
