New road layout A1074 costessy, 18th March
Over the last 7 months the road layout on the A1074 has been changed, in the consultation it did not mention the bus lane going from Richmond Road to the bowthorpe roundabout the junction with Stafford avenue is now dangerous, were you have positioned the give way line for drivers at the footpath does not allow drivers to see to the left there is a brick post box and trees obstructing the drivers view. You do not own the land on which the trees or postbox are so why was it designed in this way. Futher due to a lack of space vehicles turning right into Stafford avenue will now hold up traffic on the A1074 as there is no space like before to pass on the left, a further point I would like to raise you seem to be encouraging hgv’s to use the A1074 as compared to the southern bypass it is full of hgv’s. Everybody knows why because it is a shorter distance than using the bypass this is a residential area please don’t turn it in to a rat run. One final question as we do not have 24 hour buses why have we had a 24 hour bus lane imposed upon us thankyou for your time

Conversion of verge to ploughed field., 6th March
Cadent have recently finished upgrading the gas supplies which involved a very large amount of waste being left on the pavement and verge between West End and West End Avenue. The cleared up and raked the ‘grass’ verge and reseeded it. Within days the verge ploughed up by inconsiderate drivers. I have asked numerous times if some posts could be set on the verge to stop continued thoughtless parking. The photos say it all, ACTION please.

Burst water pipes on road by pavement, 22nd January
There is a burst water pipe spewing a lot of water at the bottom of Ashtree Road. Unsure if the are has begun to sink as it looks like it might have. There have been several issues with burst water pipes in this area in recent months, including a sinkhole on Norwich Road. There was a note left next to it saying it had been reported to Anglian Water, but a day later it's still spewing water and nobody's been out to look at it. It sure shows how much these people care about public safety!
I was unable to get a photo as I was out with the dog and it's not easy with only one pair of hands.
