FIXMYSTREET IN NR28 9NG
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NR28 9NG:
Fallen branches and encroaching hedging., 24th January
Traveling west along Mill Road a short distance past the sawmill there is branch of a tree that has been lying over the carriageway on the sawmill side for some time and has resulted in vehicles having to avoid the obstacle to pass, this has led to larger vehicles running off the tarmac surface on to the verge risking losing traction on sinkage. Also, further along on the same side again going West, the hedging is encroaching very close to the roadway and is having similar impact on the safety of motorists, particularly as it is on a bend, the holly clearly needs attention before an accident occurs.

Misleading signage (Honing FP 7), 1st January
Misleading Norfolk County Council signage. (1) The yellow arrow is hardly visible: for one thing, the wooden post on which it is mounted is set far back, behind an area of overgrowth, and secondly, the yellow arrow is rather faded. (2) The arrow is gives the wrong impression that the path follows the headland of the field, to the south-south east. The arrow here needs to be tilted a good few degrees further clockwise, to make it clear that the path changes direction , here, to head south-south westwards across the field.

Long Standing PotHoles, 14th April
This pothole (shown in the Photo) has been present for at least Two Months. It's on a major road in front of a school. It is a real hazard to motorbikes and bicycles. I have had to swerve or change the road position to avoid hitting it. It must be damaging some low-profile car wheels, and affecting the tracking on many cars. It is not the only road damage.
I do not understand why road surfaces are not being proactively repaired. As the distance photo shows it's often a road wear issue causing damage, and not damaged by contractors laying services. It is now common around our area for road surfaces to fail and cause damage to the road base and road sub-base.
I have watched repairs caried out on similar potholes and I have noted that they are badly or incorrectly carried out.
In simple terms, our roads are collapsing and are becoming more expensive to repair.

Near misses and needs a junction lines and sign., 26th February
In the picture there are two arrows, the first arrow the red one it is all Plantation Road and the green one is going from Plantation Road towards Sadlers Way (the bottom of sadlers way). Also in this picture you can see there was a nearly a crush involving these two vehicles, this happens so many times, I just think we now need junction lines and a sign, it’s meant to be 20mph but people do not do that when they are driving down from Sadlers way onto Plantation Road and do not realise it is actually a junction there. It’s getting dangerous now. Children live on this estate and we want it to be safe for everyone.

How Long To Fix A Leat, 4th January
Parking is a real premium along this road. Poorly planned and very overdue works is now causing obstructions for numerous residents parking on the street and accessing home. Any obstruction along our road from works of any kind is a real problem for all residents.
A water leak that has been present since at least November of last year was today on the 4th Jan 22 a repair started. I am told that they started at around 13:00 and had left by 16:00 at the latest. We now have a large hole blocking safe parking for both sides of the road for at least six homes. As I said poor planning and a lack of consideration towards residents.
However, my concern is how long this hole in the road is just left before all the wok is fully completed. If this work runs on not being fully completed, as it has in other parts of North Walsham how it will then affect parking and the safety of all.
