Very overgrown hedge, restricting width of carriageway (even when I was stationery and almost in the hedge on coming traffic took off my wing mirror), 6th November
The hedge of Rectory Cottage is massive, and overhangs the highway. It restricts the width of the carriageway. Recently I had taken refuge amongst its branches, and even though I was stationery the oncoming vehicle snapped off the wing mirror (costly to replace of course!). As a regular user of this road I have not seen it trimmed, ever - its probably a job beyond the capacity of the houseowner.

Excessive water from 'the street' into Kendal House entrance, 22nd October
The entrance to Kendal House, which is a holiday home, is below the level of the main road servicing Thornage (the Street)- when it rains heavily water streams from the road into the entrance vestibule of Kendal House. - perhaps a scheme could be devised to reroute the flow of water to pass the property - maybe a bump along the side of the road. A wall would not suffice since the land adjacent to the property is used for off road parking of one motor vehicle.
