Urgent attention A47 section Beeston Rd junction to Swaffham McDonalds roundabout, 10th May
Hello, I have been getting increasingly worried about the condition of this section of the A47 for a few years, where i live and commute. In any adverse or night driving conditions the road markings are very poorly visible. There is also in big parts of this section either no cat eyes or very few. I have found myself using oncoming headlights to know where the road is, very concerning. Im 40, 23 yrs of driving and as far as im aware perfect eyesight. What must it be like for other drivers? When turning right from Dereham onto Beeston Rd in poor conditions. I will only have a yellow bollard, unlit. Which to guide me to where the junction is. This junction is often used as a road closed point for road maintanence and traffic is diverted onto dereham rd. The 8 mile straight of the A47 to Dereham is in top condition, i cant fault it. But it does offer a great contrast to the section im bringing to your urgent attention. Best regards, Andy.

Tyre noise repeater warning signs are needed, 4th October
Driving east early morning sun in our eyes Little Fransham to Dereham Norfolk on the A47 Fri 28th Sept I had to stop .There was a distinct drumming repeating dull thump thump noise from the car for a mile or two (from a wheel ?). I slowed then stopped , checked all tyres , pulled all wheels to check for a worn bearing .Nothing found , continued driving the noise had gone ! Sun 30th driving west of the same stretch the noise was there again .This time we could see the cause , lateral joints in the tarmac across the full road width. Having to stop to make checks can be dangerous . Tyre noise warning signs are needed .

Flood in road / drainage not working, 5th January
Crown lane has been seriously flooded for over a week now, and is impassable for small vehicles. The drainage ditch has been damaged / blocked by traffic driving onto the verge.

No verges and covered with mud, 4th January
Crown Lane from farm to farm down crown Lane Little Fransham the roads are caked with thick mud caused by local farmers as he does every year. There are no verges to move over for traffic. Station Road however is spotless maybe because half the parish council live up there. Crown Lane is always neglected. Trees hedges verges all over grown no ditches cleaned. Rivers running down the road. No Street lighting dog bins nothing! I moan every year and notning is ever done. The road is so disgusting it's unusable for walking!
