Grip blocked corner of Mill Lane/ B1113, 17th January

Mon, 17 Jan 2022 21:29:55 +0000
52.537679 1.191097

The grip/gulley needs reaming out to allow a large pond of water (which collects during heavy rain) to drain away. The size of the pond forces vehicles entering Mill Lane from the South to swerve into the middle of the road. Needless to say it is unnerving to face oncoming traffic on the wrong side of the road.

Disintegrating roadway, 17th January

52.53424 1.19909

A whole section of this road is crumbling away - some 10 to 15metres. The road edge is falling progressively fron the outside edge in towards the road and along a considerable length. This is exacerbated by swept a broken broken drain which pours out water turning the raid edge into a gulley.

The tarmac on the norther corner of this junction is failing. There are now several pothole at least 15cm across and 10cm deep. As this corner is in heavy use by vehicles (lorries, vans, cars) visiting Travis Perkins it is going to get worse very quickly. It is a hazard to cyclists/motorcycles and to car suspension.
