Dangerously confusing signs, 25th January

Thu, 25 Jan 2018 09:56:29 +0000
52.593281 1.38745

From Chedgrave right through to Bramerton there are totally unhelpful “Road ahead closed” signs that give no indication of which road or where. These signs are causing widespread confusion and putting unecessRy pressure on dangerous junctions with the A146. Last night a meeting I attended in Bramerton was delayed because people thought they could not reach Bramerton by normal routes. Which dimwit has ordered these signs? They need URGENT attention to state which road is closed and where. The nonsense was the talk of the village shop this morning.

Edges of road need clearing back, 9th October

Thu, 09 Oct 2014 14:47:29 +0100
52.6018270985556 1.38904754751585

Mill Hill from Surlingham Lane to the bottom of the hill where the road turns sharp left is very narrow because the edges of the road have not been cut back for years. Soil, leaves etc have accumulated reducing the width of the road by 18' or so each side. This is making it difficult for pedestrians to get out off the way of cars etc which tend to go too fast up and down this road and at least one elderly person has fallen.

Embankment collapsed, 3rd December

Sat, 03 Dec 2011 20:02:36 +0000
52.606481756943 1.3730831779942

Embankment collapsed frequently by cars/tractors mounting the verge even though there is ample space for traffic to pass the parked vehicles. This verge needs high vis posts to stop this happening as the road is becoming slippery and extremely muddy. There is also very poor drainage on this section which regularly gets waterlogged. This could easilly be sorted by draining off into the field.

Severe dip in road around a drain., 3rd December

Sat, 03 Dec 2011 19:56:56 +0000
52.598923170862 1.3604660452292

Subsidance on road surface around drain. Been there for years and reported before on two occasions. Left hand side of the road on the narrow section of road at the bottom of the dip before you climb the hill to the blind Kirby Bedon/woods end turn off. The only way it can be avoided is to go on the wrong side of the road which is far from safe.

Signpost confusingly labelled, 14th September

Tue, 14 Sep 2010 13:27:03 +0100
52.6049520373697 1.40270448768085

Labels have been applied to the fingerpost at the junction of Bramerton Road/Cross Lane to indicate the route of National Cycle Route 1, but have been done so incorrectly. You'll see in the attached photo that route number patches have been applied to the fingerpost's "Bramerton" and "Surlingham" arms. These correctly indicate the route of NCN1, but would be of very limited use to cyclists; they aren't visible until the cyclist is immediately adjacent to the sign. NCN1 route labels have been applied to the post, however these point in the wrong direction, and suggest that NCN1 runs down Cross Lane and the footpath opposite. Could I suggest re-applying the labels on the post, so they point in the right direction? Thanks.
