2 huge, deep potholes along Kirby Road on a slight bend between Mill Lane and Bramerton Hall corner, 3rd February
These large, deep potholes have been there for a few weeks and getting bigger. There are more holes along each side of Kirby Road, these are the largest!

Unfilled expansion gap in concrete roadway, NR14 8TZ, 11th November
The concrete roadway between Kirby Bedon and Whitlingham Lane (National Cycle Route 1) is made of individually poured concrete pads. Between the pads is an expansion gap, which in many spots along the entire roadway, are unfilled with any material, which poses a hazard to cyclists. The horizontal gap between concrete pads is up to 50 mm wide, and can be as 80 mm deep. On 9/11/22 my front wheel went into one of these gaps and I came off my bike and have damaged my thumb. Partial repairs with tarmac fill have been made in places, but the central line of the roadway has numerous areas with deep gaps

Weavers Way footpath needs cutting, 27th July
The footpath that leads alongside the arable field just past the sewerage works needs cutting as completely overgrown. Walkers are now encroaching onto the field and trampling the farmers crop down….

Abandoned Beige BMW estate vehicle. It has been parked up about 4 days. It has DOG UNIT Printed on the side. I have not got the vehicle registration number.

Hiddent dangerous junction, 29th November
Give way sign heading north from A146 Slade Lane junction towards Mill Lane is partly hidden by vegetation which has grown close to road. Give way sign painted on road and adjacent cross hatchings on road are are all worn. At night travelling north the junction is not obvious and visibility both ways is poor. Attention is needed to signs and vegetation growth.

Dangerously confusing signs, 25th January
From Chedgrave right through to Bramerton there are totally unhelpful “Road ahead closed” signs that give no indication of which road or where. These signs are causing widespread confusion and putting unecessRy pressure on dangerous junctions with the A146. Last night a meeting I attended in Bramerton was delayed because people thought they could not reach Bramerton by normal routes. Which dimwit has ordered these signs? They need URGENT attention to state which road is closed and where. The nonsense was the talk of the village shop this morning.

Edges of road need clearing back, 9th October
Mill Hill from Surlingham Lane to the bottom of the hill where the road turns sharp left is very narrow because the edges of the road have not been cut back for years. Soil, leaves etc have accumulated reducing the width of the road by 18' or so each side. This is making it difficult for pedestrians to get out off the way of cars etc which tend to go too fast up and down this road and at least one elderly person has fallen.

Potholes, 15th May
There are very deep potholes in shotesham. Location is in chapel lane as you approach 'The Street.' They are very bad at the T junction of the street and chapel lane and just approaching the junction there are at least 4 more deep holes on the left hand side. This morning when full of water they were dangerous as couldnt see they were holes.

Flytipped bags of rubbish, 15th March
A number of full bin bags have been dumped in a couple of the laybys along this stretch, and along the main cariageway away from the laybys.
The whole stretch could do with a littler-pick, but the flytipping is the main problem

Speed humps, 8th September
Around whittlingham sewage works the concrete road has several bolt on type speed humps. i would like to request that they are modified for the benefit of cyclists. perhaps a few sections could be removed to allow cyclists THROUGH, without having to go OVER. there is no way AROUND. this is quite a well used route and this small modification would make a big difference to anyone on a bike. thank you

Embankment collapsed, 3rd December
Embankment collapsed frequently by cars/tractors mounting the verge even though there is ample space for traffic to pass the parked vehicles. This verge needs high vis posts to stop this happening as the road is becoming slippery and extremely muddy. There is also very poor drainage on this section which regularly gets waterlogged.This could easilly be sorted by draining off into the field.

Severe dip in road around a drain., 3rd December
Subsidance on road surface around drain. Been there for years and reported before on two occasions. Left hand side of the road on the narrow section of road at the bottom of the dip before you climb the hill to the blind Kirby Bedon/woods end turn off. The only way it can be avoided is to go on the wrong side of the road which is far from safe.

Water filled pothole, 28th October
Same Pothole as reported before but now filled with water making it invisible when driving down the road. I hit it the other day at speed and i thought i damaged my wheel because its so deep. Very poor drainage on this section of road, often flooded both sides of the road.

Large pothole in road due to tractors mounting the verge destroying it. Does not follow normal road line and is extremely dangerous.

This pothole, which measures approx 90cm x 60cm x 12cm (depth)is right outside our gate which means it is virtually impossible to miss on leaving and entering the property

Serious dip in road , 21st April
Turning off the a146 towards Surlingham/Kirby Bedon follow the road until about 300yds from the Bramerton turning. There is a huge dip at the bottom of the hill before it climbs up which if travelling fast could cause a car to lose control, there is also a drain which i think has sunk into the tarmac.

Old feathers pub on a146, 30th March
Their heavy metal sign is falling off their pub side wall. It looks very dangerous as its hanging on by the last blot it seems and it is hanging over the road. Im extremely corncerned that if it falls any more it could cause a very serious accident.
