FIXMYSTREET IN NR13 5PG
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NR13 5PG:
Overgrown hedge encroaching on pavement, 15th March
The hedge to nr 32 needs to be radically cut back as it is overgrowing the pavement and is well beyond the boundary line. It is markedly restricting the width of the pavement on this busy road and is causing a hazard. It appears to have been cut back tight within the property but then pruned outside the boundary such as to allow it to overgrow outside it, presumably so the pruning doesn't kill it. This is wrong and been going on for several years.

Dangerous blind bend, many accidents, 11th October
This bend is blind from every direction of travel. There is enough existing space to simply line-paint a mini roundabout junction here with no physical road alterations needed, only line paint. It’s at least 13m across at its widest point and I’m not sure why one hasn’t been implemented already?
There has been many accidents here (mainly from people speeding so fast towards Blofield that they crash into the curb and bushes on the other side, I have pictures of the curb condition to highlight this) making it a very stressful nightmare to turn into our road (highfield avenue) with my two babies in the car in order to get home (3 houses up from junction) I feel I’m putting their lives at risk every time I come home and this causes myself and my neighbours much needless stress. Please seriously consider this alteration for the welfare of my babies and my neighbours children.
The problem has been here longer than I have lived here (6 years) and since I’ve known the area (since birth, 39 years) Kind regards
Daniel Lavery

Dangerous curb stones, 3rd September
There are several curb stones outside these houses that are just about on the edge of the road. The lane is narrow and it looks like they are designed to rip the side of tyres out. I think they were removed, but have re-appeared and need to be totally removed for safety.

Footway Obstructed by Hedge, 15th June
This is on Strumpshaw Road Brundall close to the crest of a rise in the road on a bend in the road. The bend and crest make the road hazardous as the sightlines are poor and pedestrians are being pushed into the roadway due to the overgrowth. This places them at risk of being struck by vehicles or being the cause of collisions.
The owner of the hedge needs to be encouraged to cut it right back to the foot way edge to restore the full width of the footway so that pedestrians can use it in safety.

Trees and hedging are encroaching on the foorway to the road from Brundall to Strumpshaw and have reduced the width and obstructed it such that pedestrians are being forced into the road on a bend adjacent to a junction. The road is narrow here and the sightIines coming from Brundall are poor meaning that the risk of accident to pedestrians and vehicles is increased.
