30 metre stretch of deep water flooding, 12th April
Drain is blocked which does not allow water to run off. This happens every time there is rainfall. Has been going on for about a year. This morning pedal cyclist could not ride through as so deep and nowhere to walk by past. So had to turn around!

Dangerous road condition excessive mud, 21st December
To whom it may concern. Wickmere Parish Council wish to draw to your attention the unacceptable state that the road between Squalham and Matlaske, near the junction with Barningham road is being left in due to continual farm traffic movement to and from the outdoor pig unit recently positioned there. The mud being spread on the road is dangerous. There are no warning signs and the slippery surface continues along the Aldborough road from its junction with the Matlaske road. I understand residents have brought this to your attention previously with no apparent action being taken. Even in the country this is unacceptable. Residents of Squalham are effectively marooned by the mud. As far as can be ascertained there has been no attempt to sweep the road since the pigs were placed there. We have received complaints from residents some of whom have had near misses with other road users. We would ask that you investigate this situation as a matter of urgency and ensure that the road is made safe for all forms of traffic and continues to be safe for the duration of the presence of the pigs.
Yours sincerely Wickmere Parish Council
