FIXMYSTREET IN NN7 3ND
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NN7 3ND:
Faded junction road markings, 13th May
At the green in Meter Heyford, there are two road junctions by the school. The painted road markings have faded so drivers cant see where the road priorities are and my friend nearly got knocked off his bike by a driver who went straight on overtaking us at the junction when we were about to follow the road round to the right. This is at the junction of Bugbrooke Road and Watery Lane , and also just down the road at the crossroads by the school at Middle street and the green. We sat on the nearby bench and watched many drivers ignore that the road bends round to the right and go straight on without indicating that they were going down towards the village green and shops. Clear road markings and perhaps better signage would help prevent an accident here.

Humungas potholes all around the roundabout, 10th May
Massive amount of damaged areas in road surface on this roundabout. I know, it has been reported before, but nothing seems to be happening with re-surfacing it. Unbelievable, to think, that Millions of ££'s spent on M1 Safe Motorway works and it has created a now unsafe roundabout.

Many significant potholes - Drivers swerving, 9th May
There are many significant potholes on the roundabout (all the way round). Just at the top of Jct 16 North bound slip road, the right hand lane is now almost unusable due to the potholes and missing road surface. Forcing drivers to use the wrong lanes (left) to turn right. You have to drive down the middle of the lanes and drivers are swerving to avoid the holes. There will likely be an accident if this is not resolved.

Deep pot holes around the roundabout, 28th April
These pot holes are continuously getting worse and no one is fixing them. they’re damaging peoples cars but it is also very unsafe as my car loses control due to the depth and mass of these pot holes. these need desperate attention and it is appalling that no one has fixed them sooner as there have been many complaints and the pot holes have been getting worse and worse for over a year. sort this out rather than sitting around doing nothing

Collapsed / Subsided Manhole Cover, 16th April
Reporting this serious and dangerous road surface defect once again as I have just hit it this this morning travelling into Daventry as it was impossible to swerve to avoid it due to a vehicle turning into Weedon ahead of me.
The collapsed manhole cover has caused two cracks to my rear passenger alloy which will cost £100inc VAT have repaired.
I will now be submitting a claim against national highways for the cost of the repair for this damage as this defect has been reported to them for over a month with no action having been taken to repair the defect and make the road safe to use again.
I can see that this collapsed / subsided manhole cover which has led to very deep dangerous dip / drop in the road has been reported over a month ago with no inspection yet carried out.

Litter and bigger stuff in Layby, 15th April
The general litter is picked (in daylight) by at least two or three of our volunteers from the village but there are some things they won’t touch, and some stuff that is too big to collect, hence it is now building up. The layby is mostly hidden by trees so you can probably understand that residents are concerned. Please can the layby be cleared of all rubbish
