Crack in step leading up to public footpath on bridge, 15th February
There is a very large crack in the edge of one of the steps, which opens up when your foot steps down on it. I nearly fell down the steps when the crack opened up as I stepped down onto the step. I am concerned that someone elderly or someone walking on a rainy day may slip down the flight of stairs. The crack is on the set of stairs leading up to the public footpath next to the car park for Brampton Valley Way and Kelmarsh Tunnel (NN6 9NB). It is on the right side of one of the steps near the bottom. It is the step next to the blue sign pictured. You have to press your foot down on the step for the crack to open up. I am not sure how long the issue has been present but I assume it has weathered over time and is now very loose!!
