Cranford Road near 40 the surface is sinking and potholes repairs are not sufficienct, 15th May
Cranford Road has many potholes that are continually being filled but continually breaking up. The repairs made are not adequate for a high usage street and bus route. The stones come out of holes and fill up with water. At number 40 the road is actually sinking. The whole road desperately needs to be resurfaced. Many cars are sustaining damage and with the traffic use it is hard to avoid any holes in road. It is now dangerous.

Footpath low tree branches overhanging trees &Very tall nettles Nett, 14th May
The footpath from Welford Road to Brampton Valley passing Delta Way has been used as a link to the green spaces since I have lived in this area (from 1976). Over the years it has been increasingly neglected by the successive local authorities who hold responsibility for community footpaths. These are vital to the communities as links to the countryside/ each other / routes to school and other facilities .
This footpath used to have a tractor drive up in when we first lived here. The planning application for houses made the width conditional so you could still have driven a tractor up it.
The whole footpath is overgrown with overhanging trees /nettles higher than a small child and residents fences and hedges now creeping out making it ever narrower. The section just beyond Delta Way has residents hedges narrowing it to barely a single person width. An encounter with anyone means one party must go back - a little intimidating when you meet an owner with a not particularly friendly dog and an incident waiting to happen.
These links in our community are essential and yes there is a cost involved but that is minimal compared to the benefits. Exercise and links to valuable green spaces which can reduce both physical & mental health problems look to be heading towards being lost forever, unless the council acts to rectify this and include a plan for periodic maintenance.
