The road condition is appalling and dangerous. It is impossible to drive without swerving to try to avoid the largest potholes. The road has been like this for months and is getting gradually worse. Future parking problems, 24th April
New houses are being built the length of Cranford Road between Thornton Avenue down to Hanwood Park Avenue by Taylor Wimpey. Dropped kerbs have now been installed all the way which indicates that each house will have driveway access. Cranford Road is a busy single carriageway road and has not been widened and there is going to be an obvious parking problem, once the houses are inhabited with parking on the main road, parking on the pavement etc. I don't think the Council have considered the potential problem. One way to obviate the problem would be to have double yellow lines on that side of the road.

Sharp edge of drain, 11th April
Just before Easter (Weds 27th Mar) I parked along Church Lane in Cranford, Kettering to collect my children after a school disco. As I pulled up along the side of the road, I heard an immediate phish noise and knew it was my tyre deflating. I got out of the car and it was as flat as a pancake. It could have only been the drain as there weren’t anything else near it. I must of caught it on the sharp point of the drain sticking out of the path. I’ve included a photo of the drain which is close to the street light and one of the damage it did to my tyre. I’m reporting it as wouldn’t want anyone else to have this happen to them, especially as lots of other parents park to collect their children from the local school.
